Furnished apartments in Bahar, JBR, right on the beach

Bahar is on the sand. JBR is split into six clusters of towers, and this is one of them, with The Walk at ground level and Dubai Marina directly behind. The beach is at the foot of the towers, not a drive away.

That position is the reason to live here. The catch is age. JBR is older than most of the Marina, and finishes vary a lot from one apartment to the next. Ask us about a specific unit rather than assuming they all look alike.

Nightly prices are before taxes: 5% VAT and, in Dubai, the Tourism Dirham fee are added and listed line by line before you send a request. A refundable security deposit may apply.

Day to day in the building

The shared facilities cover what most residents end up using. There is a swimming pool, a gym, jogging tracks, a kids' play area and a BBQ area, so the beach is not your only option for a swim or a run. Security is on 24/7.

Allocated parking is included, which matters more than it sounds. The Walk draws heavy visitor traffic at weekends and on holidays, so if you drive, it helps to know there is a space set aside for you. There are retail outlets at the building too, handy for the small things you run out of mid-week.

What we have here

Our Bahar apartments are one- and two-bedrooms, spread across more than one tower in the cluster. As a rule of thumb, a one-bedroom here sits well with one person on a project, or two people happy to share a living room. Parents with children, or colleagues who each want a door to close, will be more comfortable in a two-bedroom.

The list changes from week to week as stays begin and end, so treat what you see on the page as the current picture, not a fixed inventory. If outlook matters to you, ask which way a particular apartment faces.

Who it suits, and what's around it

Bahar suits people who want the beach as part of ordinary life: a morning run on the jogging track, an evening swim, children in the pool after school. It also works without a car. Getting further afield is easy enough from the tram stop at JBR, and on the landward side the cluster backs straight onto the Marina.

At street level you have The Walk, with its shops and restaurants, and The Beach, an open-air mall between the towers and the sand. Across the water is Ain Dubai, the observation wheel on Bluewaters Island, and it becomes a fixture of your view from the beach. Expect crowds on weekends and holidays. If you want quiet Saturdays, a Marina tower further back may suit you better.

Questions people ask

Does an apartment in Bahar come with parking?

Yes. Allocated parking is included at Bahar. Check the arrangement for the apartment you're considering when you enquire.

How noisy does it get on weekends?

The Walk and the beach draw heavy visitor traffic on weekends and holidays, so the area outside the building gets busy. Inside, you have the building's own pool and gym, so you still have somewhere to swim and train while the crowds are outside.

Is Bahar a good choice for a family staying a few months?

Yes, if your family likes being outdoors. The building has a kids' play area, a pool, a BBQ area and 24/7 security, and the beach is right there. Over a few months, most families find a two-bedroom here gives parents and children enough space of their own.
