Furnished apartments in Dubai Creek Harbour, by the water

On the eastern bank of Dubai Creek, across the water from the Downtown skyline, sits a newer waterfront community by Emaar that is still partly under construction. Part of it is lived in and settled. Part of it is still cranes and hoardings. That mix shapes everything about staying here.

We manage furnished apartments in several of its buildings, including Harbour Views, Creek Edge and the blocks at Creek Beach. Here is the practical picture before you pick it as your base for the next stretch.

Nightly prices are before taxes: 5% VAT and, in Dubai, the Tourism Dirham fee are added and listed line by line before you send a request. A refundable security deposit may apply.

A normal week by the creek

Most days here revolve around the water. There is a promenade with views of Downtown across the creek, a marina, and Creek Beach, a lagoon beach inside the community itself. How easily you reach them on foot depends on which building you are in, so ask us about that for any apartment you are considering.

Next door is the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary, known for its flamingos. If wildlife matters to you, that is a real point in this area's favour.

With parts of the neighbourhood still filling in, what sits behind your own front door counts for more than usual. Depending on which one you are in, you will find pools, a gym, landscaped gardens, children's play areas, barbecue spots and rooms set aside for co-working or meetings. Building listings also mention a central park, a retail centre and nearby food and drink outlets. Security runs around the clock.

Moving around without a Metro stop

This is the point to be clear-eyed about. The Metro does not reach Dubai Creek Harbour yet. You will get around by car, taxi or ride-hailing, so factor that into how you plan your working week.

The good news is that Dubai International Airport is close by road, which suits anyone who flies often or has family arriving regularly. If you plan to drive, ask us whether the apartment you like comes with an allocated parking space, as some of our buildings list one.

What we have here, and who it fits

Our homes in Creek Harbour are mostly one-bedroom apartments, spread over several towers. Our list here turns over often, so the apartment that catches your eye today might be gone by the time your dates arrive, and a different one may have opened up in its place.

A one-bedroom earns its keep if you work from home: the laptop stays in the living room and the bedroom door shuts on it at night. It is also a comfortable size for one person or two sitting out the months before a long-term lease starts. If you expect visitors, ask us about the sleeping arrangements in a specific apartment.

If you need two or three bedrooms for a family, ask us. Just expect fewer options here than in older, more established districts.

The downsides, plainly

Parts of the community are still being built. A view that is open this month may face a new tower's frame the next, and road layouts shift as construction moves along. If quiet and a finished streetscape matter most to you, this is not the place yet.

Without a car, daily life is workable but costs you time and taxi rides. Anyone who wants to step out and catch a train to the office should look at a district on the Metro line instead.

If you are happy to drive and would rather live near the creek, the beach and the sanctuary than in a finished district, the trade is a fair one.

Questions people ask

Do I really need a car in Dubai Creek Harbour?

Not strictly, but life is easier with one. The Metro does not reach the community yet, so without a car you will rely on taxis and ride-hailing for getting around. Some of our buildings list allocated parking, so ask us about the specific apartment if you plan to drive.

Will I hear or see construction from the apartment?

Possibly, as parts of the community are still being built and views and roads change month to month. If this matters to you, raise it in your enquiry and we will give you a straight answer about what is going on around each available apartment.

Is it a sensible base if I travel for work a lot?

Yes, that is one of its strengths. Dubai International Airport is close by road, so early departures and late arrivals are less of a chore than from districts further out.

Can I actually see the flamingos?

The Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary sits right next to the community, and it is known for its flamingos. Living next door to it makes a visit an easy outing.
